Palm Tree LLC, an M&A advisory and investment banking firm, is pleased to announce the senior leadership promotions of Vincent Nguyen to Director, Chris Walling to Director, and Spencer Hong to Senior Vice President.
These promotions come as Palm Tree is seeing substantial growth within its Transitions and Transformation service line, as well as within its Financial Due Diligence and Investment Banking service lines. “We’re adding many junior-tier team members to the firm, which creates a need for more thought leadership and strong management within each service line,” said Mitchel Nakken, Managing Director and Head of Transitions at Palm Tree. “Vincent, Chris, and Spencer know industry best practices and Palm Tree’s internal processes and culture, which positions them well to assume vital leadership roles.”
Mr. Nguyen, based in Los Angeles, California, joined Palm Tree in 2019 as a Vice President. With 15 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, and private equity investment, he leads client projects to implement FP&A efficiencies, standardize BI reporting, and streamline budget and forecast processes.
Mr. Walling, based in Denver, Colorado, joined Palm Tree in early 2022 as a Vice President. He brings more than 20 years of international experience in corporate finance and accounting with private equity-backed businesses and Big Four accounting, as well as vast experience; integrating mergers, acquisitions, and carve-outs; as well as navigating tight liquidity situations.
Mr. Hong, based in Los Angeles, California, joined Palm Tree in 2019 as an Associate. His experience covers more than a decade in corporate finance, private equity M&A, BI and analytics, sales operations, and client advisory across a range of industries.
All three will continue working on client engagements while also assuming greater responsibilities for training and mentoring junior team members as well as participating in the firm’s strategic initiatives.
