Palm Tree LLC, the modern M&A advisor that provides integrated investment banking, strategic finance, and transaction support services, today announced changes to its executive leadership structure designed to propel the next phases of the firm’s growth. Palm Tree finished 2022 by breaking the previous year’s revenue record, a pattern the firm has repeated every year since its inception.
After spending just over a decade building the firm’s integrated services that guide clients through transactions, transitions, and transformations, Pardis Nasseri, the Palm Tree founder and, until recently, a Managing Director, will diversify leadership duties across the firm’s team of executives, each with experience in specific disciplines. Mr. Nasseri will assume the role of CEO and President of the firm.
“Tightening the definition of the executive leaders’ roles at Palm Tree is the next major step for us in meeting our clients’ needs, especially in the current business environment,” said Nasseri. “Focusing our talents in specific practice areas while integrating the services that businesses need to prepare for, respond to, and execute on strategic events enhances the holistic way we’re able to support our clients.”
The expanded executive leadership team is now composed of:
Pardis Nasseri, CEO and President (formerly Founder and Managing Director), will focus on developing and executing on the firm’s strategic roadmap and future growth while continuing to be a resource for each line of service and select client engagements.
Stephen Rossi, Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking (formerly Co-Founder of Investment Banking), will continue to lead the firm’s investment banking services which help clients position their businesses, structure acquisitions, and divestitures, run targeted strategic processes, and raise capital.
Mitchel Nakken, Managing Director and Head of Transitions and Transformations (formerly Managing Director and Head of Transitions), will lead the firm’s post-close services, including transformation planning, process improvements, and profitability enhancements that catalyze value creation.
Britt Terrell, Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets, will lead the firm’s capital markets services which help clients navigate corporate finance, leveraged acquisitions, and corporate debt restructuring. Terrell was the founder of Backbone Capital Advisors, a capital markets financing advisory firm recently acquired by Palm Tree.
Chris Felderman, Managing Director and Head of Financial Due Diligence, retains his current role leading the firm’s transaction support services which help clients identify opportunities and reveal risks so that investors make better decisions that preserve capital and sellers are better prepared to preserve value.
David Wolinsky, Chief Talent Officer (formerly Managing Director), will advance the firm’s continued growth by leading its internal and external talent acquisition and development efforts.
“Talent and leadership have always been the backbone of Palm Tree. It is how we have delivered successive years of growth since our founding,” said Nasseri. “This is part of a long-term strategic plan for Palm Tree, putting leaders in charge of our core service areas and operating out of offices across the United States. We’re stronger as a firm and better equipped to serve our clients, whether they’re private equity sponsors, business owners, or management teams.”
