Ryan Kanaley

Ryan Kanaley serves as Chief Financial Officer and Head of Corporate Development for Palm Tree, where he oversees all aspects of corporate finance and accounting in addition to executing Palm Tree’s strategic initiatives.

Mr. Kanaley has spent his career in private equity investing and advisory roles focused on M&A and financial consulting, providing him with a wealth of industry experience that will further strengthen Palm Tree’s corporate functions.

Prior to joining Palm Tree, Mr. Kanaley was an investment lead at Variant Equity, where he also served as a member of its investment committee and as an advisory board member for portfolio companies. Prior to Variant Equity, he worked at Platinum Equity as an investment professional in the LMM and Mid-Cap strategies, also representing the acquisitions team as a member of portfolio company management committees. Mr. Kanaley began his career at Houlihan Lokey within its financial consulting, transaction advisory, and M&A advisory practices.

Mr. Kanaley received his bachelors from the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business with concentrations in finance and accounting. After graduation, he brought his boots and Texas roots to Los Angeles, where he resides with his wife, son and their beloved lab.
