Julien Nguyen Christensen

With over 12 years of extensive finance and accounting experience, Julien Nguyen Christensen brings deep knowledge and expertise in financial strategy and accounting from some of the largest financial institutions in the world.

Mr. Christensen has worked with organizations across multiple industries, including asset management, healthcare, medical devices, technology, and real estate, bringing sound financial disciplines and solutions, along with process automation strategies.

Prior to joining Palm Tree, Mr. Christensen held leadership roles at PIMCO and The Capital Group Companies. As the VP of Accounting and Assistant Controller at PIMCO, he was in charge of the global technical accounting policy and strategy function, performing financial modeling for special projects and transactions under multiple domestic and international accounting standards. His role also encompassed the accounting and reporting for the firm’s APAC and Latin American entities, the consolidated parent, and the broker-dealer, in addition to the firm’s reporting to FINRA. Mr. Christensen held a similar position at The Capital Group Companies, spearheading their technical accounting, regulatory and financial reporting functions.

Mr. Christensen began his career in public accounting, becoming a Certified Public Accountant, which culminated in him overseeing KPMG’s Southern California Healthcare Practice as the head Senior Manager. Over the course of his tenure at KPMG, he built teams that conducted audits across a diverse spectrum of public and private clients and industries. He was a national instructor and pioneered the firm’s initiative to automate audit procedures using data and analytics tools. Outside of work, Mr. Christensen enjoys quality time making music with his wife and making valuable memories with his three kids.
