Mr. Xu brings more than 7 years of strategy and operations experience across a variety of industry verticals including commodity trading, metals and mining, international trade, transportation, industrial operations, and SaaS, among others.

Prior to joining Palm Tree, Mr. Xu worked for Glencore in Swiss and Canadian offices, where he provided strategic analysis and execution support for a diverse set of activities in commodity trading including market dynamics analysis, metal and FX hedging, competitor analysis, trade partnership expansion, and operation optimization. He worked with leadership, external stakeholders, and international field offices to identify growth opportunities and implement optimization initiatives.

Mr. Xu earned his Master of Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and his Bachelor of Mineral Engineering with minor in Engineering Business from the University of Toronto. He is a big soccer fan and has been supporting his favorite team for over 20 years. He is also passionate about travel and has been to over 30 countries.
