Prior to joining Palm Tree, Mr. Savitt worked for Telegraph Hill Advisors’ investment banking practice focusing on sell-side mergers and acquisitions within the technology space, with domain expertise in enterprise software. Prior to Telegraph, Alex was a Senior Associate on Irongate’s investment team and was responsible for underwriting new investment opportunities and facilitating financings, acquisitions, and divestitures across Irongate’s $4 billion portfolio.

Prior to Irongate, Mr. Savitt worked at Armory Securities as an investment banker focusing on sell-side mergers and acquisitions and debt and equity private placements with clients ranging from the lower middle-market to large publicly traded companies, working on over 20 with an aggregate nominal deal value of $2 billion. Mr. Savitt started his career at Deutsche Bank as an interest rate derivative structuring analyst in New York.

Mr. Savitt earned a Master of Business Administration from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management and earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Economics from Vanderbilt University. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling and is passionate about cycling, skiing, and rowing and is a dedicated Chicago sports fan.
